This unit will cover the understanding of the various labour legislations ,the nature and role of employee relations , frame work of industrial relations in Kenya ,the concept of trade union and trade unionism , managing employee welfare ,managing employee health and safety , demonstrating the nature of collective bargaining and agreements , understanding the nature of joint consultation and employee participation ,handle grievance and disputes , applications of the ILO conventions and recommendations in managing labour relation as well as identifying emerging issues and trend sin employee relations.
