UNIT DESCRIPTION

The unit equips the learner with competencies that will enable certified human resource professional to be able to apply information management theory and various information systems in organizations; more specifically the  Human Resource Management Information Systems (HRIS).The learner will develop competencies to identify system needs , demonstrate, the concept of system design , implement a system, make decisions , explain the concepts of database management , information systems architecture , explain the types of HRIS , illustrate the concepts of HRIS  data and information management , ensure security of HRIS data, perform HRIS audit , review existing package solutions, demonstrate legal and ethical issues in management information systems , identify emerging issues and trends in management information systems.
